Weed Prevention and Lawn Food is a non-toxic alternative to chemical based pesticides that are designed to control weeds such as crabgrass before they emerge. The patented corn gluten based formulation does not contain any harsh ingredients and has no restrictions on re-entry time after application.
When used as directed Weed Prevention and Lawn Food will control a wide range of weeds before they become visible. Unlike other chemical based pre emergent weed controls on the market Weed Prevention and Lawn Food is able to used in conjunction with new seeding.
Apply product at a rate of 4 pounds per thousand square feet. For lawns with high crabgrass pressure the rate should be 5 pounds per thousand square feet. Consult spreader instructions for calibration rates and settings.
Apply 2 weeks prior to crabgrass germination. A second reinforcement application can be made 5-6 weeks after initial treatment. For best results, apply this product within a few days after mowing and avoid moving for a few days after application. Product does not need to be watered in, but a 1/4 to 1/2 inch of water will increase the efficiency of the product.
